HOW DO WE BUILD INTIMACY ACROSS A GEOGRAPHICAL AND VIRTUAL DISTANCE?

// SEED is a one-to-one encounter across the video chat platform Zoom, where both the performer (Carla) and participant share the task of planting seeds.  

 

The aim is that through the process of shared storytelling and reflection, the boundaries between performer and participant, geographical and virtual space dissipates as we share an encounter.

Participants are sent a package which contains seeds, compost, and plant pots. After the live encounter in which they are planted, participants care for the seeds as they germinate and grow – an unspoken commitment to look after them, but also a connection to the live encounter in which they were planted.
